Hidden

Concealing and feigning,
 leveled discipline
for the forbidden joy

Scaled justice, merely
protecting the balance
of innocent players versus villains

She never bit the fruit or crossed
the trust line
only toiled at keeping a secret

The burden of the interior
truth had to be jettisoned
just as the sin finally became

but a perception
